Ischia, the less known sister of Capri

Everyone knows Capri, the glamourous, sophisticated and very expensive island off the Amalfi coast. Not everyone knows that only less than one hour away lies the beautiful island of Ischia. The less known sister is bigger, less crowded, less expensive and it offers an extraordinary experience that Capri can’t which are the thermal spas. Ischia is a Vulcanic island. It has thermal water you can enjoy in private thermal parks or even in nature by sitting by the shore. This wonderful feature was well known since Roman times and it is enjoyed especially by Italian tourists that avoid blowing their budget in the neighboring Capri. I can confirm this trend! I have been to Capri just for a quick visit but I stayed in Ischia multiples times for long periods. Spend the entire day in one of the stunning thermal parks is my favorite activity as they also include a private beach. The small villages are charming with white houses that remind me of Greece and during the summer nights they become very much alive. Ah, don’t forget, we are in the Naples area so we can have the best pizza!!
